今天看见有人讨论回国可以带的礼物还有出国从中国带的东西,我想了想几年来自己的经验,列了个单子:
都是对岸买不到,或者差价大到不带对不起自己的程度
美-->中
1. 名牌运动商品:T-shirt,裤子等等
2. 名牌双肩背书包
3. 名牌衣服,运动鞋和帽子:这个要知道礼物接受人尺码
4. 化妆品
5. 补品:多维,鱼油,卵磷脂之类(国内假的太多)
6. 电动牙刷(Sonic, OralB 或 Braun充电的那种,大约$100)
7. 好的牙保健产品(美国这边经常有新产品出来,国内要慢很多,或者根本买不到)
8. 纯棉袜子
以上1-3可以到outlet或者Ross, TJMaxx, Marshalls之类的减价商店买.4 等到mall里
送礼包的时候买.5,6去Sam's, Costco买. 7,8在grocery store 或者Wal-Mart就好了.
中-->美
1. 小厨房用品(比如说夹蒸锅里碗的夹子)
2. 小食品(你是馋嘴的MM吗?)
3. 烹饪调料,火锅料
4. 非名牌时尚类的衣服(适用于MM,男生强烈建议不要在国内买任何服饰)
5. 有中国特色又不俗的小礼物(比如2008北京奥运会纪念品)
6. 这个不许笑:塑料拖鞋(美国这里一双拖鞋要$4以上一双)
7. 和电脑和有关的小附件:耳麦,摄像头,USB drive,mp3播放器等等.
有趣的是,这让我想起了一个住在中国的美国人回美国美国探亲回中国之前也遇到过类似的问题. 他的选择比较有创意!
The once-every-four-years World Cup is nearing its final stage. Never a football player growing up, I used to be a fan before I left China, like everyone else. I still watch a couple of games here and there, most recently the England-Portugal game and the France-Brazil game. Yet I was greatly disappointed. Below are my random observations and thoughts.
1. The penalty kick shootout is a joke. Given the randomness of the result from the penalty kick, it is insulting to the two exhaustic teams to base the outcome of the game on making a shot any serious amateur player can make. You might as well toss a coin and let the two teams play heads-or-tail! How ridiculous that two of the four quarter-final matches were determined by this pure random act? Whoever designed this rule should be hanged, or more appropriately, secured to a pole and be shot at point blank range by a flying football.
2. The game is booooring!
Few teams really attacked the other team full-heartedly. And those who did--the African teams--didn't enter the quarter finals. Instead, we saw full-fledged defense (meaning 9 people in the own half) and half-assed, no one-assed attack (only one person in the front). Of course, it is not the fault of the teams or the players--this is the best strategy especially when you are faced with elimination games. It's the damn FIFA who should get a clue and do something to the rule. Look at the NBA or NFL and learn how to design the rules to encourage offense.
3. What's with all the acting? In this World Cup, I saw some of the worst actors I have ever seen in my life--on the green turf! The Portuguese players were terrible actors, and they kept acting. Why? Because the referees either believed them, or in the case they did not, they never condemned the behavior. Again, look at the NBA. The rules are that if you flop, you will be called a foul--against you! Only by making the actors pay for their acting can you stop such behavior.
